New Release: Henry Clay War Hawk

New Release: Henry Clay War Hawk

We’ve just received one of the most intriguing and exciting cigars released in quite some time, the Henry Clay War Hawk from the makers of Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, Altadis USA. This Connecticut Shade-wrapped cigar was blended by the world-famous Grupo De Maestros and is rolled at historic Flor de Copan factory in Honduras. Henry Clay is one of the most legendary Cuban Heritage brands in the marketplace.

The name “War Hawk” was derived from the historical nickname that was bestowed upon Senator Henry Clay when he lobbied President James Madison to declare war against Britain in 1812. Altadis USA felt this “rebellious” name was perfect as this cigar uses a Connecticut Shade wrapper, which goes against the history of Henry Clay cigars as they have traditionally had a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Despite utilizing a Connecticut Shade wrapper, the flavor of this cigar is quite “hawkish” as it offers a lot of spice and complexity.

This cigar would make an excellent addition to your retail shelves as the rustic packaging is unique and bold, which will certainly catch the eye of consumers. The Henry Clay War Hawk also has a great retail price point of $7.00 – $8.00 per cigar, which makes it one of the most affordable Connecticut Shade-wrapped cigars in the marketplace. This will surely be a great line that will offer great turns for retailers. Below you will see the blend information, sizes, and item codes on this recent addition to the Santa Clara portfolio of brands. If you wish to place an order, please call me at 336-609-5624
