The story of this cigar goes back to the late 1990s when General Cigar had created a unique blend of Hoyo de Monterrey exclusive to high-end tobacco shops. After the line was discontinued, we were able to buy up the rest, age them even more, and put them together in packs of 10. It is a brilliant blend, with vintage tobaccos from five different countries. Its long filler is made up of leaf from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras, and its binder is a lush Connecticut broadleaf binder surrounded by a tangy Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. It is flavorful, rich, and with so much age on it, exceptionally smooth. These beauties have been matured for over 10 years, and once they are gone they are gone.
